This 50 acre sand and gravel pit land parcel is a treasure! There are veins of unbelievably colorful agate stone, river rock, bank run gravel and grey/white sand from Glaciomarine fan deposits. According to the Surficial Geology Quadrangle Map for Hancock these deposits are only found in two outcrops, this being one of them. The pit is State licensed and town approved. Conservative estimate of 6,000 to 8,000 cubic yards of un-processed loam stockpiled on site.Egypt Stream runs along the western boundary, and there are four spring-fed ponds on the property.
I used to be a licensed real estate agent many years ago in CT. I have been involved in a number of R.E. transactions over the past 35 years, from Florida to Maine. It takes a unique combination of talents to reach the level of expertise that Mr. Sloan has demonstrated consistently while assisting me with the purchase of 3 properties over the last 5 or so yeras. As a rule, I do not give written recommendations. This one is truly deserved.
